The Lun Bawang Association of Sarawak is proud to organize the 25th edition of Lun Bawang Festival and this festival has now reached Silver Jubilee status. It is expected that the festival this year will attract about 10,000 attendees from various neighbouring cities around Lawas to celebrate and experience this grand festival.

Year after year, the event offers unique Lun Bawang cultural performances and exhibitions, as well as other activities such as traditional games and sports. This year, the festival runs from 31st May to 2nd June, and now the host has announced the full program lineup.

Day 1: Thursday, 31st May

All sports activities will kick-off on this day at 8.00am

  • Football: Kampung Siang-Siang football field
  • Futsal: Mega futsal court
  • Volleyball: SJK Chung Hwa Lawas multipurpose hall
  • Badminton: Gaya Sports hall

The Lun Bawang Festival church service will be held at SIB Long Tuma.

Day 2: Friday, 1st June

7.30am to 1.00pm
The Minister of Housing and Tourism, YB Datuk Amar Abang Zohari Tun Openg will officiate the Lun Bawang Festival and the ceremony will be held at the Lawas Public Park.

1.00pm to 6.00pm
All sports activities continues at its respective venues.
Bamboo band competition.
Peritubang (gong), musical presentation.
Handicraft exhibition.
Traditional games.

2.00pm to 5.00pm
Dialogue session with the Lun Bawang community at SIB Bandar Lawas.

7.00pm to 11.00pm
Gala Dinner at Lawas Mini Indoor Stadium.
Outstanding students award at Lawas Mini Indoor Stadium.
1st Cultural Night at Lawas Public Park.

Day 3: Saturday, 2nd June

8.00am to 6.00pm
All sports activities continues at its respective venues.
Handicraft exhibition.
Peritubang (gong), musical presentation.
Announcement and prize giving ceremony of sport activities.

7.00pm to 12.00am
2nd Cultural Night at Lawas Public Park.  The main highlight will be the beauty contest, Padang Liu Burung and Ruran Ulung.
