Irau Aco Lun Bawang 2013 Event Schedule
It’s that time of year again, starting from 31st May to 2nd June, the Lun Bawang community will be celebrating the 26th edition of Irau Aco Lun Bawang (Lun Bawang Festival). This quiet and small rural town of Lawas, the homeland of the once fiercest headhunter tribe in Borneo Island, will be once again crammed with city dwellers and travellers.
It’s time for celebration, family gathering, and sensory overload experience of the Lun Bawang tribe’s heritage.
Venue | Lawas Townsquare (Dataran Bandar Lawas)
The 26th edition of Lun Bawang Festival will be held at the newly upgraded Lawas Townsquare. This ground has been the main location where most of the previous editions of Lun Bawang festival has been organized. I personally prefer this venue because of the design or layout of the location. It has much better infrastructures where it could accomodate most of the event programs in just one venue. Even the old abandoned hall will be used to exhibit handicrafts.
